PURiTY

BATTLE, THE BATTLE!

It was nightime. Maybe best to sneak against the Profligates. Maybe worst because they won't see who got them. But they will know me. Me. Me. Pain. Yes.

I slice through profligates with the help of another Legionaries. They don't stand a chance. Easy kills. Easy kills, every single one of them.

Got to the checkpoint. Legionarie tells me that beyond the checkpoint we are having problems. Profligate snipers. Cowards, cowards COWARDS. And these Legionaries are weak. I rush to the sniper towers, pick them off. One. By. One.

HOOVER DAM. VISITOR CENTRE. PROFLIGATES IN POWER ARMOR. SLAUGHTER. SLAUGHTER. SLAUGHTER. SLAUGHTER. POWER PLANT. GETTING CLOSER. SO CLOSE TO OUR PURPOSE. I CAN FEEL THE END OF THE PROFLIGATES COMING.

Slash and smash them all with my brothers, my companions, my soon-to-be followers. When the profligates are all dead, I'll have the Legion for me. And me only. No Legate Lanius.

Closer, closer, so close. Power Plant 2. Only Rangers guard the place. None of those coward, weak profligates. These... Yes. YES. CHALLENGE. But still, no challenge for Mighty Liam. Liam the Purifier. Haha. HAHAHAHAHA.

Liam the Purifier had to make his way through one more Power Plant full of profligates. Liam the Purifier rejoyced in their blood, thei feeling of the scum leaving the world.

BUT LIAM THE PURIFIER HAD TO BYPASS YET ANOTHER POWER PLANT. THOSE PROFLIGATES, COWARDS COWARDS COWARDS COWARDS COAEGNOG.

PROLIGATES TORE UP MY ARMOR. HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR. NOTHING. SO I WEAR NOTHING. PROFLIGATES AND THE LEGION WILL TELL TALES ABOUT LIAM THE PURIFIER, WHO SLAUGHTERED PROFLIGATES BARE NAKED.

HahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA. I met the profligate leader, General Oliver. He was shocked at first. Then told me to go to my commander and ask to surrender. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. COWARD. COWARD. COWARD. LIAM THE PURIFIER HAS NO COMMANDER. AND LIAM THE PURIFIER WILL NEVER SURRENDER. NEVER.

The fool fled and left his minions to kill me. HA. Weak profligates will NEVER get me.

Booby traps, armored profligates, explosions, nothing stops me. I am in need of blood. I am unstoppable. Wounded all over. Don't even feel it. Need blood. MORE BLOOD.

Got to the top floor. The leader is surrounded by a dozen armored proligates. Is. Was. Dead. Dead, dead, dead, DEAD. THE BATTLE IS WON. I KILLED THE PROFLIGATES. LEGION TRIUMPHS.

PURITY IS ONE STEP CLOSER.

LANIUS TELLS ME THE REST OF THE DAM IS TAKEN. THE PROFLIGATES WILL PULL OUT OFF THE MOJAVE. THE LND IS OURS. PURE. PURE. ALMOST PURE. I WILL PURIFY.

I.

WILL.

PURIFY.

A BATTLE TO THE DEATH WITH LANIUS FOR THE LEGION'S CONTROL. YES. YES. A GOOD FIGHT.

I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES.

PURITY.

Profligates. Profligates. PROFLIGATES. They spread the disease of corruption and cowardisse! The battle will end them. END THEM. The Legion will prevail. Legion. Must be in charge. Must purify. Purity. Purity.

Yes, yes, yes. The profligate leader. He'll die. I'll kill him. Yes. Have to create a plan. Profligates everywhere. EveryWHERE. Have to dress like one of them. Spit spit spit.

Went in the lobby. Profligates. They didn't even know I am the enemy HAHAHAHA. A computer in the lobby. Yes, information. Profligates leave information anywhere. Modified flight control updates. That alone could kill the leader. Must look for something else. Must be sure. Must crush him. Crush them all. Crush one to crush all.

Crush one crush all. One all.

Profligates making remarks on how the Brotherhood stopped attacking. If they only knew who did it. Their nemesis. Their nightmare. Me me ME. Exit the building, look around. Around around. So many profligates. A crowd. All waiting for thei leader... Leader. LEADER, HAHAHAHAHA. Notice the AA gun control console. HAHAHAHA. Activate the AA gun. HAHAHAHAHA. Had to do it. Rest of the places are all guarded by profligates. Their leader is a coward, needs so much protection. Spit spit spit.

Talk to Cato. Await for the leader of the profligates to arrive.

He arrives in his vertibird. Profligates didn't even get to celebrate. AA gun DESTROYS THE VERTIBIRD. DESTROYED. PROFLIGATE LEADER IS ASHES, BURNT TO ASHES, BURNT, BURNT DOWN HAHAHAHAHA.

Have to run. Not even I can take on so many. I AM NOT A COWARD. Spit, spit SPIT.

I made the Legion proud. VICTORY VICTORY. Yes. Cottonwood Cove, need to report. Profligate leader is dead. The Wasteland is much more purified right now. Yes, much more. Corruption and dirty systems won't work, no. Not on MY PURIFIED WASTELAND. NO NO NO.

Rode the bark to The Fort myself. Threw the NCR outfit to the river on the way. Spit spit spit.

I arrived at The Fort and there was no Caesar to order me. No. No. NO. I am going to lead. This will be the great turning point to the Legion. We will purify. Yes. Yes.

Lucius told me I had to go to Legate Lanius camp. Lanius. Leader. Tough? Is he tough? Yes? I'm tougher. Yes, yes, I'm tougher. I am invincible. The Battle, it is about to start.

At the Camp, Legionaries training. Yes. Good. We must be strong. We must show all who is their leader. Who they must respect. Who they must follow.

Entered Legate's tent. First thing I see is the 6'5'' beast smashing a NCR soldier's head as a sacrifice. Crazy, he is crazy. I am crazy. We are crazy. He recognizes me. Says the slaughter begins. He is right. A plan to attack. Legate has a plan. Good, good.

My part in it is to assassinate the profligate's current leader. Another leader. Another kill to my name. Yes. I like this. Shame I have to have his post. Legate. I like him.

Now I march to Hoover Dam.

Profligates.

Are.

Dead.

Degenerates. Scum. Profligates. Filth. Purity. Need Purity. Kill... All of them. All of them.

After the surgery I felt so... Good. If these degenerates were to do the same thing to the profligates... I killed them. Everyone inside that clinic, I killed.

Order. Organization. How everything should be. Purity. Everything knows it's place. A message, sent this message. Arms in one place, legs in another, bodies in other, heads in another. Pile 'em up, pile 'em up.

Surgical tools. Yes, Caesar. Need to operate on him heh heh heh. Found the surgical tools, went back to The Legion. Travelled through the night, saw the sun rising. Best to avoid NCR. I'll kill them, kill them all. But they are tough. Everyone on their side. Be cautious.

Arrived at Cottonwood Cove. Showed conquers to Aurelius. NCR doesn't stand a chance. Asked Lucullus to take me to Caesar. The crossing was so long. Want to be in charge. Have to be in charge. Purity. The Legion, best way to Purity. Yes. All the filth. The Legion can vanquish the filth. Have to be in charge.

Went in Caesar's tent. Heart... Beating fast. Faster and faster and faster. Lucius, the sencond in command tells me Caesar is in a coma. Surgery, have to do surgery. Lucius is in charge now, until Caesar gets better. Have to do surgery. Asked what happens if Caesar dies. Legate Lanius. Lucius tells me he is strong, strong warrior. He'd take the place. The place I need. Have to be in charge. Have to purify. Can Lanius purify? Have to be in charge. Take my chance.

There he stood. Had to do surgery. So easy. Can't resist. Have to be in charge. Have to take my chance. Purity. I ask everyone to leave the room. Surgery begins. The Mighty Caesar. My hands. His death, I made it look like an accident. Lucius wanted to hurt me, kill me. Explained the cranial bleeding was too much. Mighty Caesar is no more. Heh... Heh heh... Hahahahah! Mighty Caesar, no more! HAHAHAHAHA!

Lucius apologized. Still wanted to be with The Legion, so did not kill him. He gave me a mission, to kill NCR's President Kimball during a speech he'd give at the Dam. The Dam. NCR. Kill them. If not all, their leader. That will frighten them , weaken them, make them fragile. Then kill them all. Accepted the mission. Had to meet another Legionarie near the Dam. He'd tell me the plan. Yes. Kill all the profligates.

Legionaries are talking about Legate Lanius. He stands a mighty warrior. Undefeated, they said. But... Have to be in charge...

Back into Cottonwood Cove. Slept through the bark trip. Went north to the location given. Found NCR Camp. Slaughter, slaughter them all.

Met the contact. Cato Hostilius. Help. Yes, he'll help. We'll kill the leader, watch them fall. Fall from their false throne made of cowardisse.

We rest now. By morning we kill. Slaughter, slaughter them all.

Degenerates. Scum. Profligates. Filth. Purity. Need Purity. Kill... All of them. All of them.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 16

As I got around The Fort, on my way out, I noticed a change. Legionaries were starting to like me. I was a Legion's... Amicus. Friend. Good. That way I'll be more likely to be of influence in the Legion's path, aiding my quest for Purity of the Wasteland's degenerate waste.

I passed the river back to the Western side of the Colorado and made my way to the Hidden Valley, the location appointed by Caesar. I decided to take the route through Nipton and Primm. As I passed near the Camp Searchlight the air got green and I killed more of those glowing NCR ghouls. And afterwards another NCR Ranger squad came after me, so I blew them up with my grenade launcher that I had acquired from the Boomers.

I passed by Nipton and the signs of The Legion's lesson were still there. Smoke, heads on spikes, banners. Nipton was a lesson to all those impure around the Mojave. I slept on the Nipton roadstop and awaited to continue my journey to the Hidden Valley.

I made my way up to Primm, killing off usual gang degenerate scum. After that I decided to pass by the NCR Crrectional Facility, since the rotting corpses of the Powder Gangers had some pieces of armor that interested me, since I could use some of it to repair the Burned Man's armor. There there was a sole survivor that I remembered that didn't pose a threat at the time. But when he said hello I... I had to kill him. The... degenerates... May have... Corrupted him... Hehe... Less degenerates, ahahahah! I was so filled with joy that I have to write my own laughter.

I discovered the Hidden Valley and entered one of the bunkers hidden in the dunes, the one Caesar said his Legionaries had seen patrols coming out off.

I entered and then I was approached by Brotherhood of Steel soldiers. Big armor, energy weapons... Cowards, all of them. They took me to their leader, which showed much concern about his peple's safety. He wanted me to get rid of a NCR Ranger who was on one of the bunkers of the Valley. Normally I wouldn't have problems killing a NCR, but doing it for someone, like a dog... He wouldn't let me say no, though. They placed an explosive collar on me. If I exited the valley, my head would pop off. So I had to go and kill the Ranger.

I searched for the bunkers all night and couldn't find anything because of a weird sandstorm. At sunrise I found the bunker and the Ranger immediatly recognized me as the greatest NCR foe. Before he could reach his weapon I unsheathed my katana and cut off his head, throwing it in his own campfire. After that I returned to the Brotherhood bunker. He was very preocupied about my way of dealing with the Ranger, because he could be missed by other NCRs. I didn't care though and I made clear that I didn't care. He still thought I'd help. He removed my collar and asked me to meet him at his office. I didn't.

I knew bunkers like that. It had to have a self-destruct terminal. I looked for the terminal all around the bunker and found it on one of it's far ends. Even though people were watching I hacked through the passwords to make it of use. I may be a good warrior, but I am not stupid. They would be buried. I pressed the button and ran. They all realized what happened when the sirens sounded and started shooting at me. I took some laser shots, but nothing too bad.

I went back to Cottonwood Cove to ride the bark to The Fort, surprisingly with no threats posed. I rode the bark as usual, with Cursur Lucullus and arrived the Fort, hours later. Then it was time to report to Caesar. He was pleased to know I had destroyed not only the Brotherhood but also their home, their equipment, their plans. Then he asked me to join him in his tent for a private conversation. That was rather unusual.

He wanted to talk about his disease. Hum. He asked me what was my diagnostic. I told him what I had known for long, a tumor in the brain. He immediatly promoted me to Caesar's personal physician. Then asked me if I had what I needed to perform surgery. I told him I could, only needed the tools. He told me to go get them, so I knew I had to go to the New Vegas Clinic, so up North.

I went back to Cottonwood Cove and slept there until dawn. I was growing sick of my journeys North and South. But... I had to do it. For the best hope for Purity.

On my way up North I ran into a NCR soldier wearing Brotherhood armor. I had never seen it before. I killed him - not too easily - and retrieved his weapon. A melee beauty, the Super Sledge. I would hold on to it dearly.

I got to the Clinic and before I got the tools for Caesar I remembered what Doctor Usanagi had said about her creations, the implants. She could make my skin harder, that way I'd be harder to injure.

I am now preparing for surgery. A surgery of my own, I mean.

I exitead the Fort with Cursor Lucullus. After arriving at Cottonwood Couve. I headed north to The Strip. Suprisingly enought I did the trip without any comotion.

On my way, while I passed by the monoraile tracks, I found the cart bellow on the ground. It was very satisfying.

I arrived at the Strip and then at the White Glove's casino, Ultra Luxe. I was stripped off of my weapons by a man in a suit and a mask which covered his face and distorted his voice. I soon found out that all White Gloves wore those masks. Interesting.

I procured their leadership throughout the casino. There were two leaders, a man named Mortimer and a woman named Marjorie. I should first talk to the woman and so I did. She considered Caesar's Legion savages and wasn't interested on an alliance. Mortimer, on the other hand, was a smarter man. But not smart enough. He supported an alliance but didn't want to confront the woman further. When I asked what could I do he said I did not have the stomach for it. I wouldn't accept that. Not the denial nor the insult. I killed all White Gloves I could find. First I killed Mortimer and the weapons guard with a dress cane. Then I could access my weapons. I Liberated them all. Then I decided to also Liberate all that were dining at their restaurant. And all the rest of the casino. No one inside was left living. May that have been a lesson.

Before leaving Freeside I passed by a profligate's store to repair the Burned Man's armor. It was started to weaken.

On my way south I was hit by another NCR "assassin" squad. They were getting tougher, I give them that.

I arrived at Cottonwood Cove and stopped by the Centurion to give him NCR dogtags. I didn't cease to impress. Then I went to the barge and crossed the river to The Fort. It was nightime when I arrived, but I decided to report to Caesar.

He told me he wanted my report. I honestly didn't want to face the wrath of Caesar and I feared that saying straight on that I had killed all the White Gloves would engage it. So I changed the theme to his headaches on our last encounter. It didn't work though and Caesar was not pleased to know that I had killed a valuable ally. He warned me about my behavior for my next assignment. The assignment was to destroy the Mojave Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. While he was briefing me he zoned out. It was an absence seizure. I told him that and asked him if it was the first time. He said there had been a couple and I told him I was concerned about him having a serious neurological condition. He didn't want to talk more about it though. He told me to destroy the Brotherhood's bunker and then went to bed.

I will proceed in the morning. Fortunatly the next assignment requires me to kill everyone, so I can't screw up.

I made my way to that Boomers tribe place. Night fell as I walked through the desert, exiting the whole New Vegas area to the North. When I was getting to the place, a man was in the way. When I got near he stopped me, saying I'd get blown up by the Boomers if I just walked in on their terrotry like that. Then he said he had information that he could sell to me. I wasn't interested. I didn't like people who tried to make money out of such things, so I killed him. I searched him and it seemed that such information wasn't touchable. Well, I kept moving anyway.

As I walked I heard a noise. I recognized the noize. It was a howitzer being fired. I ran to cover straight away and still got badly hurt by the first blast. I waited in cover, healing myself, as the shots fell. They had to reload eventually. When they did, I ran into another ruined building that seemed safe. Another round of hell rain came and I waited. When they had to reload again I was already near enough their fence to prevent them from shooting. There I was approached by a man who was surprised to see I had survived. He told me to wait until a woman come along to deal with me. That woman presented herself and said their leader, an old woman, wished to see me. I would make her not wish that.

When I got there she said that there was something special about me and that the howitzer attack was the proof of that. Proof or no proof, no one attacks me, injures me and then walks away. No one. Not even Caesar's will prevented me to struck the old woman's throat with the Liberator as soon as she stopped talking. I waited in her house for a while longer, in order for the other Boomers to think that everything was ok. I also took the old woman's grenade launcher, in case I had to deal with some of these savages at a distance.

Somehow, they still knew that They had been attacked by me. Maybe I waited too long. So I had to kill rhose who had attacked me. Before I killed one I asked if there were another leaders. Without the leaders they'd be devastated enough to leave us alone. They pointed me to some barracks. While searching those barracks I found a piece that belonged to an howitzer. Coincidently, it was the piece missing for the howitzer in The Fort, that I had analyzed the first time I went there. So I took it. Seemed like the trip wasn't a waste after all.

I eventually found the old man's barrack and slashed him, adding another kill to my name. After that it was time to leave.

On my way out I had to destroy a guard robot and kill the entrance guard, who greeted me with a missile launcher pointed at my face. It was a fun kill. And after him I had the rest of the Wasteland waiting for me, as I headed to Cottonwood Cove, for Lucullus to take me to The Fort.

I followed the Lake Mead's shore until Camp Forlorn Hope and from there headed straight South to Cottonwood Cove.

When I reached the place I remembered that Decanus Severus was looking for someone who'd teach the Legionaries of the area to disarm and avoid landmines. I had the knowledge by then, so I taught them.

That time around Cursor Lucullus was not there to take me to The Fort. But I already knew the away, so I sailed the barge myself.

I arrived at The Fort and went straight to the howitzer gun. I replaced the firing mechanism easily enough and then went in Caesar's tent to tell him the news. As opposite to what I thought he'd say, after I only said that I had to wipe out the Boomers he said that it was a perfectly satisfatory way to deal with their threat. He quickly gave me my next assignment. Caesar wanted an alliance forged between the Legion and the White Glove Society, at the Strip. As he was briefing me about their former cannibalism he had an... Inconvenience. A massive headache that made him get up from his throne in pain. I was able to come up with a quick diagnose. I asked if he had ever experienced such sudden headaches. He calmly said that never that bad before, but then remembered his position of power and stood up, angry, scream at me to leave him alone and to come back later.

So I have to go to The Strip and forge an alliance with former cannibals White Glove Society. For now I'll sleep here on one of The Fort's tents. I'll head out in the morning.

I went south, back to the Lucky 38, to get ED-E, before I made my way to The Fort to report to Vulpes and Caesar. I was several weeks late. It was really a long way I had in ahead.

Not long after I exited the New Vegas area the NCR hit squad that had threatened me came through. It was not easy to slice those profligates, but it was fun. I even sent a message.

In the middle of the way we passed by a gang's encampment. As any other stupid and unintelligent gang, they decided to attack me. Their last mistake.

When I arrived at Cottonwood Cove I spoke to Centurion Aurelius of Phoenix. I had 32 NCR dog tags to give him. He said it was a good hunting. I could do better though. Then I spoke to Cursor Lucullus and he took me through the river to the Fort.

It was nightime when I arrived. I took rest in one of the Fort's tents and, in the morning, I went in Caesar's tent. There I talked to Vulpes and told him that the woman he wanted me to protect was giving information to the NCR. He told that he knew and that NCR's Captain Curtis was infiltrated, providing the Legion with information. Brilliant.

Then I spoke to Caesar. He told me of a tribe up northeast called the Boomers, who had heavy artillary that could be put to good use against the NCR, at the battle of the Dam. He wanted me to offer them a treaty, their future freadom for their help against the NCR. If they didn't comply, I was to kill them all.

Reports made, I had to leave The Fort for more missions. I would first head to the NCR's Camp McCarran to speak with Curtis about aiding in his mission.

On my way to Camp McCarran I was attacked by yet another NCR hit squad. Of course, after I killed them, I sent another message. I took one of their armors, because I might had needed to go undercover.

I arrived at the Camp's entrance and put on the ranger outfit I had found, covering my face with a hat and a pair of glasses. I felt felt unconfortable walking around a place filled with NCR cowards, while wearing a piece of their clothing.

I found Curtis and filled him in. Then he filled me in. He told me Hsu, the NCR Colonel, already knew about some leaks, but had ordered Curtis to found out who it was. Then he told me that a monorail connected Camp McCarran to the Strip with much safety and that he planned on blowing the train. Of course, I asked how could I help. He wanted me to plant the bomb and to plant evidence to show that someone inside had done it. Curtis had all planned, it would be easy. He told me to talk to Colonel Hsu and offer aid.

I asked Hsu what problems were troubling the Camp and he listed various things. Finally he talked about the leaked information and I offered to aid in the matter. After he accepted, I carried on with Curtis' plan. I found a garbage can where Curtis had placed the bomb materials, picked them and headed into the train. The guarding soldiers let me pass because of my vests. I went inside the monorail and planted the bomb. The monorail immediatly left and blew up moments after. After I walked out of the monorail site the troopers didn't even question me. Pff, pathetic.

Then I was to plant evidence and kill the soldier that I was to incriminate. I found his footlocker and placed the plans and bomb ingredients there. When I went and talk to him I found out he wasn't very bright. I told him I liked pranks like he did and then said I was about to prank someone. After his excited response, I pulled his grenade pin without him noticing and said I just pulled someone's grenade pin, walking back. He didn't figure it out, wanting to "see the look on the man's face". Those were his last words.

I reported to Hsu and told him Crenshaw did it, his last words being "frumentari". That convinced him. Then I went back to Curtis and told him the plan was a success. After that it was time for me to leave that damned place.

When I left, I gladly took off that dead ranger's armor and put back the Burned Man's vests. I felt good in them.

Powerful.

As I said before, I was forced to help the Burned Man. I had to find a compass, medical supplies and walkie-talkies, throughout the Zion. Follows-Chalk would help.

The compass was inside a crashed bus full of dead children's bones. And was broken, but I could repair it. After that I looked for shelter at the peak of a small mountain nearby the bus, as it was getting dark.

When I got out of the shelter tears starting to fall down the sky... I had never seen such a thing. It was rather unpleseant, it got me all soaked without me wanting to. I had my first run in with Yao Guais, though they were just cubs. They did not present a challenge, I hoped the mature form of the beasts were tougher.

I got to the fishing lodge and, after fighting a huge green gecko that puked a weird goo into Follows-Chalk, I found the walkie-talkies. As we made our way to our next destination we were attacked by the White Legs. They were tougher than what I would expect, given that I killed the ones that ambushed me on my arrival rather easily.

The medical kit I had found was contaminated. Thank goodness for the Burned Man that I am quite the knowledgeble man. I was able to sterilize the contaminated supplies with some nearby vodka. After that Follows-Chalk reminded me that the Burned Man also wanted lunchboxes, though I didn't recall why.

As we exited the station where we found the medical kit a Yao Guai attacked us. As I expected, wasn't so tough. I suffered no direct hits, he focused his attacks on Follows-Chalk. The building in which the lunchboxes were was right next to the station where the medical kit was. I killed the giant mantises inside the general store and gathered all the lunchboxes I found. Finally I had everything and had to go deliver it to the Surrows' tribe leader, Daniel.

When I aproached the camp a woman rushed towards me. She was basicaly just a greeter. I got to Daniel and gave him the supplies. The damned degenerate still wanted more help from me before giving me the blasted map. I told once, as a warning, that I wanted the map. He lectured me about respect. But then I told him again I wanted the map and he wanted to fight. So he is dead now. Follows-Chalk wanted no part in it.

I got the map from a clay pot near Daniel's bed. Then I left the camp, stealthly. But either the Burned Man had ears everywhere in Zion or Follows-Chalk was very fast, because when I was about to leave the Srrows' camp, the Burned Man himself appeared before me, with a vengeance. We had a fierce fight but I had ended up winning. I took his weapon and armor, as a trophy for a great kill.

I walked through Zion during the night, because I was greatly outnumber between the White Legs and now the Dead Horses and the Sorrows. I had to leave quickly. I used the river for most of the path. I was still attacked by White Legs and Dead Horses on the way though. I made it to the place I had arrived at in Zion and, with the help of the map, I was able to find my way back to the road I had travelled. From there it was easy to get back to the Mojave.

Weeks have passed and I now rest in the cavern where I left the Mojave. I will recover ED-E and then return to Caesar.

I went to the appointed place and there was nobody there to greet me, only a cave. I hesitated at first, but I had to know more.

Turned out there was a group of people inside the cave. I talked to the caravan master, asking what was the situation in Utah. He said it filled with raiders, degenerate tribes and warlords. The man also told not to mention the name "Joshua Graham" to anyone at all. Then he also told me not to talk about the Burned Man. I didn't know why, but it seemed strange that a Legion myth would be known by a Caravaneer.

He gave me a carried weight limit and didn't let me bring ED-E along. I would refuse and probably kill him, would not the Burned Man be involved in this expedition. I sent ED-E to the Lucky 38's Presidential Suite and was ready to go to Zion.

On our way there, Jed, the caravaneer, told me that Joshua Graham was the Burned Man. We arrived a couple of weeks after we left the Mojave Wasteland.

As soon as we started walking, we were attacked by a tribe whose name was the White Legs. They soon killed all of the people that came with me and I was left alone to fight them. They were at distance so it was a hard fight. But I grabbed some tomahawks from one of their fallen and handled them pretty well.

I crossed an old, rotten bridge and one more tribal was out to get me. But he was shot from behind by what seemed to be another tribal, who talked to me. He seemed to be led by Joshua Graham, since he didn't stop talking about him. He told me that Joshua would like to see me. I would meet the legend, the Burned Man...

The man that aided me, Follows-Chalk, told me about Zion as we walked. Then we saw two beasts fighting, big ones. I reckognized one to be a Gecko, though of unusual size. He said the other was a Yao Guai and that I should steer clear of their kind.

As we approached the location I saw heads on spikes. Those heads belonged to the White Legs. While Follows-Chalk believed that the heads on spikes showed that the White Legs' souls were trapped there, he also told me that Joshua had them there as a warning. He trully was once a Legionarie.

When I arrived to the camp there were a bunch of tribals training and a cave. Follows-Chalk told me that inside that cave was Joshua Graham.

Inside the cave I was greeted by a woman who could barely speak english. I told her that if she was too dumb to speak english, she was too dumb to talk to me. She got angry, but didn't do anything. Pff.

I met Joshua Graham. Where he did not have clothes, he had bandages, except for his eyes. He sought help, which I did not intend to give, but helping him was the only way out for me, at least for now.

His first instructions were for me to find supplies to get around. I am going to do so, after resting here for a while.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 10

I made my way back to Nelson, NCR blood warming my face, with a smile. Dead Sea, the Nelson commander, said it was a great achievment that I have made. He gave me his blade, Liberator, for me to carry with honor. I gladly accepted.

After leading solelly Nelson to victory over Forlorn Hope I continued to head North, to The Strip, to do Vulpes' and Caesar's bidding. And meanwhile, I was desperatly looking for someone to heal my radiation sickness. On the way, the NCR Ranger squad appeared again, to remind me I had two more days. I was almost seeing double from all the dizzyness, so I still didn't reply to the challenge.

It's always the same road I end up taking when going to The Strip. The Mojave was starting to feel a dull place for me, always the same. Thankfully I am on good ways to join The Legion and maybe that'll change. Heading on that road, though, I remembered there was a medical clinic near the Freeside gate. I took a deep breath and my way to it.

The Doctor there, Usanagi, starting making an advertising campaign even before I could start talking. She said that she had some expensive surgeries that could increase some of my abilities. But first things first, I asked her to heal my radiation. The feel of the RadAway going through my veins never felt so good. While the medicine took effect I asked her about the implants. She said one of them was a sub-dermal implant that would make me more resistant to damage and the other one was a cell-regenaration booster, that would make my wounds heal quicker. But they were pricy. 8000 caps each. She also had strength, intelligence, agility, etc booster implants, but I didn't want any of those.

I entered Freeside and headed staright into The Strip's gate. First I went into the Vault 21 hotel to look for Vulpes' informant, Martina Groesbeck. When I found her room, she was surrounded by Omertas, who asked me to back off. I caused quite a mess. Then I talked with the woman and she was a spy for the NCR. I didn't kill her where she stood because I got confused about Vulpes' motives to protect her. Matters I will clear when I get back to The Fort.

Then I went to the Lucky 38. Mr. House would be no more. But he was prepared. All his robots started to attack me as soon as I went into the casino. I dispached the two on the casino floor and then threw around some pulse grenades I had found in the penthouse floor. Then I inserted the Platinum Chip into Mr. House's terminal, which opened an antechamber to an elevator. The elevator took me to his control room.

There he laid, in a capsule, a corrupted and shrunk body, which could well be a corpse. I unlocked the chamber from the outside and he came out. He asked me why did I do it. All his... "good"... Undone. I simply told him "By Caesar's command, you will die." He weeped as he thought about the idea of slavery for the future of mankind. As he wished a special hell for me, I trespassed his throat with my katana.

Going back up to the penthouse it felt empty, as all robots and the giant screen were deactivated. I exited the casino and walked out of The Strip, never trusting those darned Securitrons.

As I exited, I picked up a radio signal about Utah, going in there for a job. It sounded pretty unique and I saw it as ways to scout for territory that could be suitable for The Legion. So I am resting now at Freeside and in the morning I will go to the Northern Passage, not far, to see about this... Job.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 9

Once I got into the bunker building I was given my gear back. I had to insert the Platinum Chip in the concole, in order for a shaft door to open. A door with the Lucky 38 logo was inside.

The place inside was slightly irradiated. I could feel since I was already suffering from radiotion poisoning and I kept getting worst. just inside there was a monitor with Mr. House's face on it. He said I was there earlier than he expected, so I assumed he wanted something for me. And I was right. He wanted me to upload the Chip's data at the other end of the facility. But I basically told him to fuck off and said I was going to do as Caesar asked me to, just blow it up. "There will be no safe haven for you" he said. I spat on the monitor screen.

I went in, coughing in sickness, disabled all the robots, located the generators, blew them up with plasma grenades I had found, went back out, as the whole thing exploded. Once I got out I had to give out my weapons again.

Speaking to some people around camp I found out about the Burned Man, a once high person among the Legion who failed Caesar, so he was burned and thrown into the Grande Canyon. Caesar phorbids the very mention of his true name. Slaves believe his spirit rose from the ashes and is seeking revenge. Degenerates... They'll believe anything.

Before talking to Caesar, I talked to Vulpes Inculta, the Legionarie I met in Nipton and later in the Strip. He said they had a spy on the Omertas, but she was getting caught up on. He wanted me to guarantee that the information kept flowing. I'd do it as soon as I could.

I talked to Caesar and he knew I got the job done, as he asked. So my reward was to decide how Benny died. I got to him and told him to come fight me in the arena, like a man. He thought he had a chance. But I made sure I sent a message.

I heard more about the Burned Man after I left the arena. I heard he was a great warrior, even greater than Legate Lanius and that Caesar still had scouts looking for him.

I talked to Caesar again and he said he wanted Mr. House out. So I had to return to The Strip.

I took sleep at Cottonwood Cove once I arrived. Then I left the camp and took a shortcut through the desert. Then I was approached by a disguised Legionarie who told I could use a box that had items that the Legion did not need. Then I got to a NCR Ranger Camp that was surrounded by irradiated craters. Though I killed all the Rangers there, but the radiotion sickness got worst. I was getting critically ill.

On the way I got approached by yet another band of NCR Rangers, but these much better equipped. I couldn't take them on due to my sickness, as much pain as it causes to admit. They said I had to make my reputation with the NCR better in three days, or they'd come for me. As if I was affraid. I just needed time and medicine to cure myself.

I was approached by a lone NCR trooper who sought help to rescue some hostages the Legion had taken. I introduced him to my sword. Then I found Nelson, a small town controlled by the Legion. I spoke to their commander, Dead Sea, who, when I asked if he wanted me to break the non-fighting period between Nelson and Camp Forlorn Hope, challenged me to do it myself. I told him it sounded like fun.

I found an abandoned entrance to a bunker on the way to Forlorn Hope. I marked in on my map, so I could go explore later.

I got to the Camp. They didn't attack me on sight because of the treaty they had offered me. Their mistake.

I first took out the Major, in their main tent. I used my katana for the first time on him. When I got out, ready for a fight, I found that they didn't notice what had happened inside the tent. Better for me. Next was the medical trooper. I slaughtered him and the wounded. Then the remmaining Commander. But I decided not to settle for the commanding officers as Dead Sea had challenged, but to regourge in a NCR's bloodbath. I killed everyone, taking as many dogtags as I could to show them to the Centurion at Cottonwood Cove.

I am taking rest at the NCR's camp I just slaughtered. I'm going to Dead Sea in the morning.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 8

I exited Freeside while preparing myself mentally for the journey I had ahead. It was going to be a long walk. I started by taking the same road I had taken to go to New Vegas but then I decided to take a shortcut through the irregular hills of the Mojave.

Eventually I got back on the road. I slept in a camp at halfway through the course, at the El Dorado Gas.

Back on the road, I passed through some ruins filled with Golden Geckos. Tough lizards, those bastards. The place was very irradiated too, I was begining to feel sick.

Nearing Cottonwood Cove's location, I found a glowing feral ghoul dressed as a NCR trooper. They are not clever enough to get dressed, so I didn't get what happened. Then I found another one. I realised I passed by Camp Searchlight, a camp that was NCR's. I heard about something that had hit them, but didn't know what.

I knew just when I got to Cottonwood Cove. Crosses with bodies attached to them marked the entrance. I was approached by a Legionnarie who wanted to know my business in Cottonwood. I calmly and proudly showed Caesar's Mark, saying I was invited. On the camp I talked to the Decanus and the Centurion. The Centurion said he'd pay me for every NCR dogtag that I would bring them. They were desrespectful and didn't like the fact that I wore the Mark. So I made haste to the barge that would lead me to Caesar. The sooner I met him, the sooner I would get known around The Legion. So I went and met Cursor Lucullus, who said that, for his knowledge, this was the first time that Caesar had summoned anyone.

At my arrival I was relieved of all my weapons. The Fort was not like I expected. It wasn't elaborate, it was a simple place, which served it's purpose. In the area of the tents, where Caesar resided, there was an arena. Before I met Caesar, I asked the arena keeper to fight, so that I could be recognized as a fierce warrior before I met Mighty Caesar. First I fought two slaves. I was given a machete and they had machetes two. I disposed of them easily, sending a message with the last one, decapitating him. Then there was a captured NCR soldier. Oh did I enjoy that. I decapitated him too. He said my last challenge was a NCR Ranger, who fought only with her fists and had already killed some Legionnaries. I would proove myself to The Legion with that fight. And I did. The arena guard couldn't even believe what he had seen. Then I slept in a tent on the camp, to rest for my meeting with Caesar.

And so I went in. ED-E had to stay outside the tent. When I went in, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Benny tied up on his knees. I was loving the Mighty Caesar already. Caesar told me he liked me because I could get things done. He knew that, he had been watching me. Then asked me if I was ready to get started. I said that I was ready to serve The Legion, maybe a little more excited that I should. He said he wanted Mr. House taken out. And that there was a bunker behind the tent, the bunker that Yes Man told me about, whoose doors would open with the Platinum Chip, which he had recovered from Benny. He wanted me to destroy whatever it was that was behind those doors. He also said that once done, I could choose how Benny died. I had to choose between a fight in the arena, decapitation by me or crucifixion. I'd choose later.

I am currently at the bunker's door, getting ready for whatever is in there.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 7

Once I got to the Lucky 38's door Victor talked to me. He said I couldn't go with my robot, ED-E. Perhaps Mr. House is such a coward that he wouldn't let me have company, with fear that I will attack him.

I was astonished when I got to Mr. House. There was no man, but a computer talking to me. His face was on a giant screen. He asked me what did I make of New Vegas. I couldn't believe he would expect me not to react to my talking to a monitor and ask me a question like that. I asked him what the hell was he and he got offended. Then asked me the same question, but I didn't care about Vegas, a city of sin, gambling, drugs and alcohol. I asked him what did he want with me. He said that he wanted me to bring him the Platinum Chip, to recover it from Benny. I didn't know his plan and I can't trust a man in a monitor, so I refused. Then he told me to leave and see The Strip, The Strip he had built. To see what he could offer me. I spat on the ground just as I could be spitting on all his wealthiness and his city of sin. And I left.

Now to see to Benny.

When I got out of the Lucky 38 everybody was looking at me. Apparently I was the first one to enter the Lucky 38 and see Mr. House. Then I was approached by a NCR soldier who gave me a note from the NCR's ambassador of the Stip. I ripped the note as soon as I got it in my hands.

Once I got to Benny's casino I was asked to give my weapons. I had to or otherwise I couldn't go through and I wouldn't be able to get to Benny. I searched the casino for him and there he was, surrounded by bodyguards. I went over and when he saw he got speechless. He couldn't believe I was alive and got even worst when he realized I was the one guy everyone was talking about he got to meet Mr. House. The guy was dumb. When I asked for a reason not to kill him he said that everyone on the casino would turn on me, but then said I wasn't there for vegeance but for business and asked me to go somewhere more private. He was wrong. He asked me to go to the Presidential Suite - which he gave me - and to wait there.

But the motherfucker outsmarted me. He never intended to show up. Once I got in the suite he talked to me over the intercom and said he wouldn't go to the suite and would leave. I saw where it was going, I expected real soon some company. And I didn't have my weapons on me. I just said. "You're a dead man". I would get him. Four guys showed up, two with silenced guns and two with straight razors. They did a number on me and ED-E, but hell, did I get them. And I had to send a message.

Then I went to Benny's suite to search for him. There were two other Charimen there, who I killed. I searched his suite and he wasn't there. But then I found a securitron. Different from the others, it had a creepy cheery face. And he was totally stupid. Or badly programmed. He couldn't refuse any of my requests and had to answer to everything I asked. He told me Benny had escaped through his secret elevator. Then I asked some more questions. He told me Benny had reprogrammed him to monitor Mr. House's activities. He said that the Platinum Chip was going to be used by Mr. House to upgrade his defenses and that Benny wanted to use it and Yes Man, the creepy robot, to take over New Vegas, killing Mr. House and controlling his mainframe. Lastly he told me the only places the Platinum Chip could be activated were the Lucky 38 and a bunker at Fortification Hill. Probably that's where Benny went.

Down in the casino floor, they must've heard that I killed those Chairmen, since they started attacking when they saw me. Good, makes my message clearer. I decapitated the last of them with a swithblade I had taken from the Chairmen I killed first.

Once I exited the casino the Legionarie that took over Nipton came to talk with me. Honestly, I had to hide my enthusiasm. He gave me the Mark of Caesar, so I could go into Fortification Hill. He also told me that Benny had already fled the Strip and was making his way to Caesar's camp. I knew why. Then he told me to go to Fortification Hill via Cottonwood Cove. So I exited the Strip. I finally had The Legion's attention.

It's nightime so I am going to sleep in the Atomic Wrangler before I proceed to Cottonwood Cove. I had to claim a bounty anyway.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 6

I talked to one of the owners of the Atomic Wrangler, the female one. She told that I could work as a debt collector for her. Sounded easy easy enough, I took it. The first woman was a petty liar, then there was an annoying prick who seemed that was trying to seduce me and finally an ugly, deformed ghoul, who was asking around for caps. When he asked me for some I punched him in the face. That scared him so much he pratically kissed me begging not to hurt him anymore.

I went back to the woman and after being paid she told me that her former guard had ran off to The Strip with many caps. Problem was, I couldn't get in. I had to find more jobs. I talked to the other owner and he asked me to gather him whores. If I did not need the money I would have killed him where he stood, asking me something like that. He wanted a cowboy ghoul, a smooth talker and a sexbot. What the fuck is wrong with these degenerates?!

I found a female ghoul cowboy in Freeside, strange as it would be, hired the scum that tried to seduce me as the smoove talker and went to an abandoned factory to get the sexbot, which tried to test his... "Skills"... On me, which I did refuse. Fuck.

I finished the job but was still 400 caps short to enter The Strip. I entered the Van Graffs Silver Rush, hoping they had some work available. They had work as a door guard. I didn't like nor the armor nor the weapons. But oh well.

The job went well and it got me 200 caps. She had more work, so I stuck around. I then had to deliver a package to a man she told me to meet. That got me the rest of the caps I needed. So I ignored their next job offer. I went straight to The Strip.

Victor greeted me. I had killed him... He told me Mr. House had "invited" me to go meet him. Before I went meet Benny. I didn't want to, but apparently he has an army of Securitron robots at his command.

Well, let's go meet this coward who won't even face me to give me his "invitation"... Mr. House.

Pursuit of Purity, Journal 5

I exited North Vegas and entered Freeside. I had the caps so there was no point in waiting to get to The Strip. But on the way I found a Katana for sale and I would like to have one, very much. I could already imagine Benny's head fall down to my brand new clean sword. For that I had to do some work that I would try to find near my position.

Entering the richest part of Freeside I had some choices. I could go look for work with The Kings, the Van Graffs or The Atomic Wrangler. I tried The Kings, since I didn't like any of them and their place was the closest. Son of a bitch guarding "The King" made me pay 50 caps just to see the guy.

I can't believe I'm saying this but... The King was actually a nice guy. Gave me back my 50 caps and heard me with no complaints. He told me to go check out a bodyguard for hire that he thaught was cheating people. Why the heck not. I wanted that blade.

I found out that the bodyguard was staging the whole scenery and I killed him and his partners. I reported to the King and he told me he had more jobs for me. Now I had to check on some friends of his that had been attacked when they arrived to town. When I came over and asked them questions they said that one of the people that attacked them called another one "lieutenent". I was hoping that it would turn out to be NCR, so I could kill some of those degenerates.

I was getting tired of walking around. Hoped the job paid well. I had to ask around for information about the NCR in Freeside.

I had to take a fucking NCR quiz to be able to get information. I wanted to burn my tongue and curse my intelligence for knowing all that. I was so mad I had to kill the bastard after I got the password to the NCR little house on Freeside. The NCR woman inside their store told me that they had sent an envoy before and they were almost beaten to death. I can't believe I would have to be on NCR's side...

The King's right hand came running to me when I got to their place, saying I shouldn't be telling the King what I had learned about the NCR being beaten. I took that chance to blackmail him and get some caps, although I was on his side. The more beatings to those degenerates the better.

When I was talking to the King one of the members came running and told us that the King's right hand was on a shootout against the NCR. That was interesting. I killed all the NCR's. It turned out better than I expected, this job.

I finished the work that the King had for me and he said I got one favor from him. I immediatly asked him for caps. He gave me one thousand. I was now good to buy the Katana, but had to make more money to get into The Strip.

I bought the Katana but was now 1000 caps short to make it to The Strip. At Mick and Ralph's, the place I bought the Katana, I started stealing things from their room without them noticeing and then sold them to them. They never noticed. I didn't sell some of the things, so that I wouldn't arouse suspicion. I went in the Atomic Wrangler, Freeside's casino to sell the stuff. They didn't want any of the shit I was carrying and I was getting desperate.

I got a room there and am going to sleep. I'll probably work for them, in the morning.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 4

I talked again with the woman that rent me a room at the motel, to see if she knew about the man in the checkered coat. She told, among lots of other things that almost put me back to sleep, that I should talk to Manny, who was the day time sniper. I thought it would be best to break into his room, since he wouldn't be going there anytime during the day. In his personal computer he had a note from a Khan. Turns out my "friend"'s name is Benny and they were going to Boulder City. So that's where I was headed.

By the road I saw HELIOS One. I decided to scout it a little bit, as it was NCR territory. I wondered what The Legion would say if I took it... Their flag waving to the wind made me sick. While scouting I found a shack with a computer in, but even I couldn't decypher it. The NCR soldiers weren't many and they looked slacky, but still I decided to do it another time. Perhaps when Caesar has his attentions turned upon me.

I arived at Boulder City. I walked all night and was hoping that the town had a place for me to rest. At the entrance of town there was a NCR soldier. He was staring at this stone, which served as a mark of the dead NCR soldiers from the battle of the Dam. He said that his older brother was in the stone, because he died in a NCR ambush against The Legion. I smiled and then hit the stone with my sledgehammer, leaving a big crack on it. The soldier started to attack me and retreated to a nearby bar, which was empty, only had the bartender. I squashed them both.

I advanced into town and a NCR soldier said that there was a situation with the Great Khans, that they had NCR hostages and I told him I would negotiate with the Great Khans. I went in their hideout and recognized the face of the Great Khan that talked to me. He was talking to Benny before he shot me. Needless to say he got surprised when he saw me. He then told me that Benny took the Platinum Chip and went to New Vegas. After he told me all that I he knew I killed him and his firends. Teach them to mess with me. I even wore his bandana after I killed him. Another proof of NCR cowardiss, as I slaughtered the Khans they showed no signs of help, like they said they would. I can't wait until I put my hands on them.

As I got off Boulder City I met Victor again. I was tired of him, he was definetly following me. So I destroyed him. It was morning already, I didn't sleep all night. And to top that, as I chased Victor I found myself in Boulder Beach, which was full of Lakelurks. I destroyed the blasted beasts, but it wasn't easy. Because of Victor I lost track of the road that I was supposed to take, making me wander around the deserted areas. Darned robot, even destroyed he's annoying. I found an abandoned camp site and decided to sleep in it. Even though the sun was bright in the sky, I was having trouble keeping my eyes open.

I had finally found the road again. I still had a pretty long walk to go.

I now arrived to North Vegas. The poverty and drug addiction level are over the charts. I'll just find somewhere to sleep now. I can't wait to get to Benny.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal 3

On my way out to Primm and to Nipton I was ambushed by some remaining Powder Gangers. They didn't stand a chance. Less of these scum to deal with. It was night already, so when I finished those Powder Gangers I stormed a Police station that was being used by some bandits as shelter. Ironic. I slept in a prison cell, huh. Woke up shortly after and continued to head to Nipton. I saw on the horizon the statue of the Mojave Outpost. Spat on the ground, disgusting NCR cowards. Cleared some more bandits at Nipton Road Pit Stop... I guess it is part of my pursuit for purity, cleansing all these... Degenerates.

When I set sight on Nipton it was completely destroyed. Smoke everywhere, big fires comming out of piles of tires... I had to check out what it was that hit town. More bandits? I didn't think so. A Powder Ganger aproached me as I entered town, jumping around for what seemed no reason. He ended up telling me that he had won the "Lottery". Didn't tell me what Lottery though. Being a Powder Ganger, I had to kill him.

I headed into town's general store before heading to the Mayor's Hall to seek answers. The only one inside the store was a crippled Powder Ganger. I enquired him as to what happened and he said "The Legion" happened. That had been the group that I heard talk the other day... He told me that the decapitated, burnt, crucified and enslaved the town's population, in exceptance to the Powder Ganger I killed and the one I was talking to, who had won second place and for that his legs were smashed with hammers. I had to know why they did it. If it was for what I was thinking...

I killed the Powder Ganger and headed to Town's hall, to see if The Legion was still there. They were, for my appease. The man who spoke to me said that I should spread the word as to what The Legion had done to Nipton, a town of weaklings, cowards, corruption... A "town of whores", by his words. I told him I admired the purity of The Legion's justice and he told me not to forget what he had asked of me. Oh and I didn't... I knew just the place to spread the word of The Legion's justice... The Mojave Outpost.

I went with thoughts of killing, but the sergeant was so terryfied when I told him about The Legion's attack that I just rejoiced in his fear.

I went back to Nipton, to head to Novac. I was getting kind of tired. Past Nipton, on a valley that led to Novac, I was ambushed by a gang of bandits. ED-E took care of them from distance and those who got close got smashed by my sledgehammer. Leaving that valley I found four Legionaries preparing an ambush. I joined them, quitely, as they are not yet familiarized with me and I do not wish to press my luck. They saw two groups of merchants and ran towards them. I joined in. Probably they were NCR suppliers. And even ahead there was another Legionaries group, well position for an ambush. It was night already. I stayed with them, to see where the situation was going. Turns out they were just patroling the area because there was a camp set nearby. I found out later that they were stationed there because of a Ranger outpost that was next to the road to Novac. Since they were just patrolling, I moved on.

Finally arrived to Novac. It's still night, I might rent a room. Damned Victor is here in Novac... I don't like that. I can't shake the feeling that he is following me.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal #2

I entered the NCR Correctional Facility without any of the Powder Gangers knowing my true intentions. I asked who the boss was and where could I find him. Eddie was his name. Was. I went there and sent a spear through his head. Handled the rest of the scum with my machete, resulting in quite the blood fest. Might want to find some place to wash up...

During my stay at the Correctional Facility I found out that not all the Powder Gangers scum were holed up there. I learned that someone named Cooke led the rest of the scum North. Don't know where. For now I'll just head on to Primm.

Seems like news spread fast. On my way to Primm I ran into two Powder Gangers scum who were already trying to kill me for what I had done. Too bad for them.

At Primm's entrance an NCR soldier came running towards me. By instinct I grabbed my blade. He warned me that Primm wasn't safe. Scaredy cats, all of them. I'll take care of what ever is it that gets in my way. I found it disgusting to walk past the NCR camp mounted outside of Primm. Every inch of my being wanted to kill those weaklings, who do nothing for no one except themselves! But, had I take any action, the people of Primm might have gotten scared and that would have shut their mouths.

Apparently the town was overrun by escaped convicts and the NCR was too much of a bitch to take them on. I made my way to the Mojave Express building, where I used to get my jobs as a Courier. The building was empty except for a broken robot. I examined the thing and managed to get it working. Hopefully it will do me some good. Since the house was empty, I took the food from the plates. It was kind of disgusting, but I was famished.

I went to the town casino to see if it was there that all the town's people were holed up. Turns out it was. I talked to Johnson Nash, the owner of the Mojave Express, to see if he knew anything. He told me that I should talk to Deputy Beagle, the town's deputy. And where was that guy? Surprise surprise, prisioner of the convicts. So I went to the hotel where they were holed in. Guess I can say that eliminating those convicts is part of my Purity job, so I took them all on.

Damn convicts trashed my armor. I stole a leather armor from their leader, but I am not pleased. Maybe I can do some adjustments over the time, it will have to do... I found Beagle. Coward scum. I released him and he tried to run, so I beheaded him. Luckily he had a holotape that told me where to proceed.

I cleared the building of the scum. This robot, ED-E according to a license plate attached to him, came in pretty handy. I went and told Nash that Beagle was dead. Since the guy paid me, I thought it wouldn't hurt to tell him that. But the old man had to go and ask me to find a new sheriff... I reprogrammed his damned robot and ended that predicament.

And so I am off to Novac, via Nipton, as the holotape indicated.

This is how I looked with the armor that Mitchel recovered from me.

The Pursuit of Purity, Journal #1

I will reset this Journal from the point that I have been shot in the head. That's right, shot in the motherfucking head. Over a Platinum Chip I was supposed to deliver to the Strip... How I hate the Mojave. Once I get better the scum will pay, mark these words.

I was burried alive but dug out pretty by a robot, from what I gathered from Doctor Mitchel, the Goodspring's doctor, town that took me in. He patched me up, gave me a physical and psycological analysis. He had a machine that came up with the results of 7 for strength, 7 for percepcion, 6 for endurance, 3 for charisma, 8 for intelligence, 6 for agility and 3 for luck. As for the psycological analysis he said my strengths were Melee, Science and Sneak. He got that right. He went through all my stuff, I didn't appreciate that. I wanted to leave that darn town right quick. He told me to go talk to a Sunny Smiles. Maybe I'll get some caps to start travelling and go after those who killed me and, my ultimate goal, purifying the Mojave.

He gave me back my Tribal raiding armor, my Machete and my spears. At least he didn't steal all the stuff. Went back to my grave, where I got shot, right outside town, and a distinctive cigarette butt, that may help me to track down the guy in the checkered suit that shot me. Then I went and talked to that girl, like Mitchel told to. She wanted me to practice shooting, like I wasn't good enough, and then we went hunting for some geckos. I sliced through all of them, even saved a worthless settler lost from the town. Then the girl told me to go speak to Trudy, which I planned on doing, since she must had known something about my attackers. Inside that woman Trudy was having an argument with someone, who I learned to be Joe Cobb, member of the Powder Gangers, a gang of scum, drug addicts and reckless bandits. Said that area was their territory. Well that just makes my job of purifying the Mojave a bit harder. Nothing I can't handle though.

Trudy told me to head east, to Primm, to continue tracking the guys that attacked me. Before leaving town, a guy named Easy Pete warned me about some guys who called themselves The Legion, slavers. Said they were being lead by Caesar. Now, if I got my History right, they must be trying to replicate the Roman Empire. I don't know much about them yet, but if they are doing a good job on building that Empire, that is the best hope for purifying the Mojave.

On the way out from Goodsprings I found Joe Cobb. Easy fight. Easy kill. On the way to Primm som guy asked me for help. Normally I would just walk, but he offered caps. I needed caps. So I went up a hill he pointed me, telling me some girl was trapped on the top by some geckos. I killed the geckos, easy enough, got to the top: nothing. I figured it out right quick, I had been scammed. The guy wanted to kill me for the loot. The bastard didn't even see me coming as I sliced his head off. I passed through some Powder Gangers  which I decided to ignore. I ended up near the facility they had settled in, the Correctional Facility. Fascinating how the NCR can be so incompetent as to let all the scum get free and take over their facility. I spit at the thought of NCR.

Slept in a camp near the Facility, so I could attack in the mourning. I'm going to infiltrate in and kill them from the inside. Easier that way.
